Sport NB is pleased to announce the launch of “Wednesdays with Will”, a series of free virtual legal webinars, facilitated by Sport Law’s Will Russell. Building off Will’s background in governance, dispute resolution and Sport Integrity matters, these sessions are designed to help address the legal needs of Sport NB’s membership, providing a platform for our community to discuss legal issues related to sport.
Join us for the inaugural Wednesdays with Will onJune 10, from 1:00–2:30 p.m. (AST), focused on key governance challenges facing sport organizations in New Brunswick. This interactive session will explore governance best practices, with a particular emphasis on:
The session will also support incoming and prospective Directors by outlining the fundamental responsibilities of their roles, including appropriate lines of communication, ethical decision-making, and how to identify and manage conflicts of interest.
The presentation will be delivered in English however simultaneous translation will also be available.

Will Russell is a sport lawyer with an extensive background in dispute resolution, governance, employment and Sport Integrity. He joined Sport Law in 2021 to help organizations effectively navigate conflict; Will now regularly acts as a strategic advisory to sport organizations and has taken a leading role in governance modernization and Sport Integrity work across Canada. Will’s legal approach is shaped by belief that sport (and law) can be a powerful tool to shape strong, inclusive, and high-performing cultures and health communities.
