There were 42 participants at this years tournament. The Moncton area was well represented with 18 players taking part in the tournament, including 4 juniors from the local junior program. Local players took second place in three divisions and made it to the consolation finals in several divisions including the A Doubles where Maisonneuve and Francoeur of Moncton defeated Rene Dunn and Richard Hay of Moncton. In the Open Division consolation final Marc Arsenault and Barry Moore were defeated by the team of Frizzell and McCarroll.

Local organizers and enthusiasts were pleased to see a much stronger Open Division than previous years. This was credited with several players returning to the game after a lengthy absence. The A division and C division titles were both won by junior players, pointing to the success of the junior programs around the Maritimes.
