The 5th annual McInnes Cooper Dragon Boat Festival planning is underway! 

NOW is the time to enter your team and raise money for KidSport and New Brunswick Amateur Athletes.

Sports Hall of Fame announced

The NB Sports Hall of Fame announced the inductees for 2009. They are:
Stephen Gough - speedskate
Frankie LeBlanc - hockey
Vicky LeBlanc - softball
Dr. John Meagher - sport and physical education
Don Sweeny - hockey
Lorne Wortman - badminton

This year’s dinner and induction ceremony will be held at the Delta Brunswick in Saint John, on June 6.  Ticket information may be found on the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame website.

KidSport™ News

Kid Sport Win's Big with CBC Hockey Day in Canada Auction

Tim Horton's Hockey Day in Canada online auction was held in February, with half of the money raised going to KidSport NB to assist with the payment for hockey registration fees across the province.
A grand total of $20,700 was raised, half of that amount will got to Kidsport NB and the NHLPA's Goals and Dreams fund will match the total amount via an equipment donation to KidsSport NB.

VolunteerSpot (www.volunteerspot.com) is a free online sign-up tool that simplifies grassroots volunteering. The site makes it easy for anyone to quickly mobilize and coordinate volunteers in their community, congregation or social network.
