KidSport recipient of funds from CBC Hockey Day in Canada Online Auction

KidSport New Brunswick is proud to be named the recipients of the CBC Hockey Day in Canada Online Auction.  The auction will run until Monday , Feb. 23rd at 12:59pm AT. 

Start your bidding now! The funds raised not only got to KidSport but the NHLPA will also match the amount raised via an equipment donation to KidSport NB as a part of the NHLPA Goals and Dreams fund.



 

National Championships & International Events

 •   Carson Marcoux finished 8th at the Camden International Fencing tournament in London England. Team Canada finished 6th. Results Here
•   Luke Donovan finished 8th at the IPC NorAM Super G in Kimberley, BC and 3rd at the IPC NorAM Slalom in Park City, Utah
   Myriam Lamarche finished 9th in the Women’s Senior category at the Belgium Judo Open in Arlon, Belgium. Results Here
•    Marc-André LeBlanc helped the Canadian Fencing team finish 10th at the Trofeo Carlo Carnevali in Legnano, Italy. Results Here
     Patrick Cote who finished 11th in the 10km Sprint and 26th in the 12.5km pursiut at the 3rd IBU Biathlon Cup in Martell-Val Martello, Italy. Details Here
•    Chloe Richard finished 12th in the juvenille category at the BMO Junior National Championships in Calgary, AB.
•      Micheal Page and Brittany Mills finished 12th in the juvenille dance  category at the BMO Junior National Championships in Calgary, AB.

Eating Right - On a Budget !

If you are between games and not know what to eat that won't make you too full, but keep your energy going strong – try peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! They are filled with carbohydrates, protein and sugars that are needed to help you perform your best.

After a game the best protein to repair muscles and provide needed vitamins  is a glass of chocolate milk! Delicious AND nutritious!

Competition Development modules

The Centre for Coaching Education of New Brunswick will offer the Competition Development theory modules (old Level 3) in English in Fredericton and French in Moncton, NB on April 10, 11, 12 and 13th 2009.

The following modules will be offered:
-  Coaching and Leading Effectively
- Developing Athletic Abilities
- Psychology of Performance
- Prevention and Recovery
- Doping Prevention
- Conflict Resolution
