Why Regional Committees?
The KidSport program has been mainly run out of our Fredericton office, however due to growing numbers of applications coming in from all over the province; we created 8 regional committees based on where the demand was highest.  Currently, some of these committees are still in the development stages, and some are thriving in their region.

Each Committee works closely with the Provincial Coordinator in Fredericton to do application review, and host fundraisers and events in the community.  All funds raised in each region stay in that region and go directly towards helping the children in that community get involved with sports.
 

Events
There are only a couple provincially run events per year, for which most planning is done out of the Fredericton office.  Essentially we would send the committee an event in a box.  It would be up to the committee to take care of the local aspects, like location, date and time as well as putting up posters and being on site for the event.  Information would then be relayed back to Fredericton, where the Provincial Coordinator would take care of sending out the media releases, and contacting the press.

Each community is also welcome to introduce their own events of any size, which would be supported by the Fredericton office.
