Canadian Tire JumpStart

Canadian Tire JumpStart is a charitable program created by the Canadian Tire Foundation for Families to help kids in need participate in organized sports and recreation.  National in scope but local in its focus, Canadian Tire JumpStart helps kids in need get active by providing funds to help offset the cost of registration fees, equipment and transportation.

The program is delivered through local Chapters located in communities across the country and include community leaders from organizations like Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, Parks and Recreations and YMCA Canada and Canadian Tire Associate Dealers.  Working together, the Chapter identifies children who would benefit from the Canadian Tire JumpStart and ensures the effective delivery of the program.

In 2005, Canadian Tire expects to help give up to 20,000 kids the chance to play, and aims to raise $4 million.
