Funding program 
1. What is the Funding program?
The Alliance will provide financial assistance to member provincial organizations to
assist them with training opportunities for their members.
2. Who is eligible to apply?
- Members of the Alliance partners for the Prevention of Abuse
and Harassment in Sport and Recreation may apply for financial assistance.
- Applications must have the endorsement of their respective
Alliance partner.
3. What types of training could be funded?
- The training must be in the form of an educational workshop
or seminar providing information surrounding the issue of abuse and harassment (i.e.-
education on screening procedures, policy development).
- The training must be facilitated by a qualified trainer or
organization recognized by the Alliance.
- There must be a minimum of fifteen (15) participants per
training session; however, special consideration may be made for groups with
smaller numbers of participants at the discretion of the Alliance Funding Allocation
Committee
4. How much funding can be granted?
- Requests for funding assistance may be granted up to a
maximum of $500.
- A member organization can apply more than once, but only to
the maximum of $500.
5. How can we access funding?
Applications will be reviewed on the 15th of each month.
The Application Package includes the following:
- Application form; including a
description of the training session/ and trainer who will be facilitating the session
- a budget of the costs associated with the training session
- a brief outline of how the session will be promoted to
potential participants

Funding Program General Guidelines
1) The Alliance Funding Allocation Committee (AFAC)
will be composed of three (3) Alliance Partners, one-year term, renewable.
2) Applications/Allocations must be reported to the
Alliance but is approved directly by the AFAC.
3) Applications must be submitted prior to the
training session.
4) Funding will not be distributed until after the
completion of the training session and review of the Report Form.
5) All applicants will receive written notification
of allocation.
