Anti-doping Education Program

Are you sending your athletes and coaches to national
competitions unprepared and uninformed?
Sport NB has developed
a one hour educational session that will cover topics that all athletes,
coaches, parents and participants should know about doping. In co-operation with
the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport we have trained province-wide
instructors that believe in a fair, ethical, drug-free sport system. They will
discuss the ethical and legal implications the threat to public
support, the serious health concerns, and the process if an athlete is chosen to
be tested.
Education is the first step to Drug-Free sport.
Sessions discuss..
- What is Doping?
- Doping Control Procedures
- Athletes Rights
- Prohibited Substances and Methods
- Restricted Substances
- Common Issues: asthmas medications, supplements etc.
- Canadian Policy on Penalties for Doping in Sport
- Substance Inquiries
Sessions cost $75 (plus travel if necessary) which includes an overhead
presentation.
