Submission Guidelines - Pitney Bowes Sport Awards
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  • Athletic performances will be considered from October 1, 2005 to October 1, 2006. Achievements outside the established time frame will not be considered.
  • Each nominee will be considered primarily on their achievement within their category. However, character, role model and contributions back to their sport will also be considered.
  • Each nomination must have the endorsement of their respective Provincial Sport Organization and must be signed by the President or Executive Director.
  • Each Provincial Sport Organization can only submit one (1) nomination per category.
  • Nominees must: (1) be a member of a New Brunswick Provincial Sport Organization (2) have competed in the last season for New Brunswick (3) be a resident of New Brunswick for the last six (6) months.
  • Each nomination must be accompanied by a photograph. Finalists will be asked to submit action photos within a short time frame so please have them prepared to send, or send with submission. All photos will be returned.
  • Nomination can not exceed 10 pages in total. If exceeded, first 10 pages will be taken into consideration.
  • Deadline for submissions is: 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 10th, 2006. No late submissions will be accepted.
SELECTION PROCESS
  • Nomination Forms are sent to each Provincial Sport Organization calling for nominations. Deadline to return to Sport New Brunswick is Tuesday, October 10th, 2006 by 4:00PM.
  • A provincial selection committee will review all nominations and rank all nominees. Voting forms will be returned to Sport New Brunswick for tabulation.
  • The top three finalists in each category and their nominating organization will be notified by mail immediately and encouraged to attend the Awards Dinner. The costs of the dinner tickets and expenses are the responsibility of the nominating organization.
  • Sport New Brunswick will announce the winners based on the results from the selection committee during the Awards Dinner.
ROLY MCLENAHAN

The Roly McLenahan Canada Games award was introduced in 1985 to honour the memory of Roly McLenahan and to recognize a Canada Games athlete who best combines excellence in spor, perseverance and sportsmanship, and who has made a significant contribution to the New Brunswick team effort in the Canada Games. Nominations may be made by any Canada Games New Brunswick athelte, coach, manager or mission member. Nominations must be completed on the form and may be submitted to the NB Mission Desk prior to the closing ceremony or mailed to Sport NB within two weeks of the closing of the games.
