What makes up a team?
A Dragon boat team normally consists of 25 people:
 - 20 paddlers
 - 1 drummer; the lighter the better!
 - 1 steer; a qualified coach provided by the event
 - 3 alternates – Should someone be unable to participate.
A team captain will normally recruit participants who are interested in the event. For this event, each team must have at least 20 members with a minimum of 8 females paddling. All team members MUST complete a waiver form before going out on the water.

How to register:
The cost to register is $40 per person - or $1000 a team - to register your team  you must fill out this registration form or contact Evan by email at  evan@cscatlantic.ca or 452-1582.

Individuals interested in joining a team:
 New to the city or don't have a team?  No worries! Click here and provide your info to join another team! A great way to meet people and a fun event to take part in! 

Fundraising:
Put the FUN back in Fundraising! Encourage your team to work together by hosting BBQ's, car washes and yard sales. Learn to work as a team early and it will be smooth sailing when you get in the boat!

Teams are encouraged to fundraise their registration costs by downloading the registration pledge form. Help maximize the funds raised - continue fundraising with the pledge form. There are pledging guidelines to help you! 

Prizes and Fundraising Incentives

We appreciate all the hard work that individuals put into fundraising for the Festival. Participants who raise $100 or more will be entered into a draw to win a one year membership to GoodLife Fitness. The overall top fundraiser of the day will win 2 WestJet Tickets - good anywhere that WestJest  flies. We do don't want anyone to walk away empty handed so we have other great prizes that can be earned:
