It was the Rikki Doak show for speed skaters from the Fredericton Amateur Speed Skating Club attending the national short track speed skating championships in Campbellton.

Doak won four medals including a gold in the midget girls 333m event, highlighting New Brunswick's medal haul of nine including one gold, three silver and five bronze medals in this competition. Fredericton skaters had a part to play in seven of the nine New Brunswick medals.
