NB ATHLETE HEADED TO LONDON 2012

Sport NB would like to congratulate Dave Durepos for being named to the men’s Wheelchair Basketball roster for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Durepos is a two-time Paralympic gold medallist and a World Champion in wheelchair basketball. Since joining the national team in 1994, he has earned numerous medals and individual accolades while developing a reputation as one of the best outside shooters in the world. Sport NB and KidSport NB to raffle off Westjet tickets and much more.

Fredericton - Tickets are now on sale for Sport NB’s first annual fundraising raffle.  The raffle is an initiative to not only raise funds for Sport NB but to also serve as a fundraising opportunity for member organizations. WestJet, Delta Hotels, Comfort Inn, Pitney Bowes, and Enterprise have all generously donated the prizes, which means that the cost of every raffle ticket purchased goes directly to support Sport NB and its members.  With ticket sales capped at 4000, and tickets selling for $10, this new annual fundraiser has the potential to raise up to $40,000 for sport in our province.
